Program Overview

The T. Boone Pickens Leadership Institute is designed to grow the leadership skills and potential of participating JLD members. The annual leadership training program is designed for Junior League Members to:

Develop a personal vision of community impact through increased self-awareness and leadership skills.
Develop awareness of community needs to apply your skills and bring your vision to life.

This program will focus on the following three core tenets:

Leading Self
Leading Others
Leading Community

Criteria to Participate

Current member in good standing
Minimum three (3) years active service (not including provisional year) to the Junior League (can be any Junior League)

Programming Costs

$375 - to be paid by Saturday, August 31, 2024.
If financial assistance is needed, please reach out to [email protected] by the application deadline. Financial assistance requests are not reviewed by the committee as part of the application process.

Are you able to attend the weekend retreat on September 13 starting at 5pm, and September 14 9am to 4pm? Attendance at retreat is mandatory, no exceptions.

Are you able to attend monthly course sessions that will be held on one Friday per month from 9am – 5pm? Dates are 10/11, 11/1 12/6, 1/10, 2/7, 3/7, 4/11

Are you able to attend Course Graduation, Friday 5/2 from 9am – 5pm? The full class will be recognized.

No more than two (2) classes can be missed without dismissal from the program. To receive credit, class must be attended in its entirety. Attendance will be tracked. Please acknowledge this policy by checking "yes"

The T Boone Pickens Leadership Institute is a valuable training program. However, participants will NOT receive placement or meeting credit for attendance. Please acknowledge this by checking "yes".
